Hey thom awesome video great sounds am a beginner with guitar still and a pretty noob when it comes to pedals so no idea what to look for lol of course long time fan of frusciante as my idol growing up i currently have a vangoa board a boss ds2 peal and a massive big red box wah cant remember the model number but dont think it will fit on that board so been deciding what to do next to get close to my idol and to do it in this budget has really helped a lot and will be the first time building it too so may give this ago thanks again for doing it 😍👊👏🤟

The Shredmaster is really hard to replace it does such a unique thing. The rest of his board is mostly boss stuff so probably wouldn't be too hard on a budget.
@@liamjenkins244 Visual Sound Son of Hyde is a Shredmaster clone below $80. It's a single pedal form of the distortion side of the Jekyll and Hyde, which is what I personally use, and I get really close to Jonny's distorted tone.
Cool video! running the amp a little compressed or crunchy might help with the DS2 and WH10 volume jumps. Or an overdrive pedal, like a "marshall in a box" with low gain setting, after the wah! cheers!

I’d say Tom Morello on a budget, but he uses mostly BOSS pedals (easy to replace on tour compared to something vintage), though he also has a Digitech Whammy which is quite pricey.

Can you do this with Jimi Hendrix or SRV?
Can you do a pedalboard with only orange pedals. I bought my first pedal last year and second one this year, and they both were orange in colour. Also, this suggestion in inspired by Starcrawlers's Henri Cash's all pink pedalboard.

The mxr fuzz he’s using is a better choice now for the fuzz
He still uses the big muff & that's probably a more iconic tone for most people

My initial thought whenever I hear Frusciante on a budget is "So Dave Simpson's board?" and if you swap the Line 6 with a Zoom...yeah, that's what that is.
Oh and another big board boy to do on a budget Mike Eisenger from Incubus.
Dave is the ultimate man in the know on all things Frusciante. I thought I was a fan until I came across him. Although he really does sound like him. I felt what let this board down was playing the PRS. It's tone is so different from a strat.
I agree but the zoom is really bad sounding to me. bought one and sold it after 2 days. the line 6 looks to sound better

But ... hm ... then .... on the other hand ... its RHCP ... spicey
bottom line:
- You don't need an A/B switch for the DS-2, a simple 1 contact will do ...
- excellent choice of pedals
- these "old" M-X pedals seem to do the job really well
- you got into RHCP territory ... well done
No shot that that all is only $500.
That board does not sound like frusciante. The compression on guitar signal it's totally missing
unfortunately, this is nowhere near to John's tone, despite the fact that it still good tone

Shredmaster is hard to replace on a budget, I just use a DS-2, I've heard the MXR Super Badass Distortion is ok.
